A planned luxury condominium in downtown Delray Beach has ties to American beer-brewing royalty with members of the Busch family investing in the project where units start at $1.5 million.
August “Gussie” Busch and Haley Busch, great, great-grandchildren of Adolphus A. Busch, who founded the Anheuser-Busch company, are owners in the development called Ónix Delray Beach at 318 SE 5th Avenue.
The four-story condominium will have 26 high-end units and nearly 5,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. It is about four blocks west of the Intracoastal Waterway and three blocks south of popular Atlantic Avenue. The Delray Beach Site Plan Review and Appearance Board approved the project March 22 after the developer was asked in February to soften the look of the building’s modern masonry architecture.
